A glimpse of the flow

We don't do rigid day-by-day plans. Here's the rhythm.

Arrival phase

Overnight to Manali. Day 1: Atal Tunnel and drive to Kaza: the swift ascent.

Middle phase

Langza, Komic, Hikkim. Key Monastery, Chicham Bridge, Kibber. Evenings in Kaza.

Closing phase

Chandratal, then descent via Batal and Manali. Return to Delhi.

The group experience

We keep groups small, 4 to 10 people. Shared drives, shared moments at Key and Chandratal. Evenings in Kaza for a taste of local life. No crowd, just a focused circle of travelers.

Spiti 6-Day Short Circuit: FAQs

Is the Spiti Short Circuit suitable for everyone?

Since this route involves a rapid ascent from Manali to Kaza (11,980 ft) on Day 1, we recommend this for travelers who are generally fit and have no history of severe altitude sickness. At Komorebi Travel, we advise drinking plenty of water and avoiding heavy physical exertion on the first day to help your body acclimate.

What is the benefit of taking the Atal Tunnel route?

The Atal Tunnel is a game-changer for the Spiti Short Circuit. It bypasses the unpredictable Rohtang Pass, saving 3–4 hours of travel time and providing an "all-weather" gateway that makes reaching the Lahaul and Spiti valleys much faster and safer.

What should I pack for a 6-day Spiti trip?

Even in summer, the Spiti weather is unpredictable. Your "Komorebi Essentials" should include:

  • A Heavy Down Jacket: Essential for the nights at Chandratal and Kaza.
  • Sun Protection: High SPF sunscreen and polarized sunglasses are non-negotiable in the thin atmosphere.
  • Personal Med-Kit: Include basic remedies for headaches and motion sickness.
  • Reusable Bottle: To help us maintain the purity of the Chandratal ecosystem.
Will I have time for "Slow Living" and Cafes on this short trip?

While the schedule is tighter than our Full Circuit, we've carved out time in the evenings at Kaza. You'll have opportunities to explore the Kaza main market and visit iconic spots for a taste of local Spitian culture.

Are there mobile networks available on this route?

Expect a significant digital detox. You will have connectivity in Manali and basic BSNL/Jio network in Kaza. However, Chicham, Kibber, and Chandratal are mostly dead zones. We recommend finishing any urgent digital work before you cross the Atal Tunnel.

What is the road condition like between Manali and Kaza?

The stretch between Gramphu and Kaza is famously rugged and unpaved, featuring several water crossings (pagal nallas). Our expert mountain drivers are specialists in this terrain, ensuring you enjoy the adventure of the "World's Most Treacherous Road" in safety and comfort.
